The Ashigaru-class Light Cruiser first saw action in approximately 15 BBY, and was eventually phased out in favour of the Kusarigama-class Frigate. As of 15 ABY, only four still survive in Shau'ghunate Guard hands: Heian, Tekki, Jitte, and Empi, all of which were captured from Kai'to Musashi. The Heian served with distinction under the command of Captain Dejaa Dite in Operation Ghosthammer.
