The BNS-5M Banshee was created as an ultra-heavy assault machine. With it's death's head cockpit, the appearance of a Banshee on the battlefield is enough to cause most enemies to flee in terror. Those that do not will quickly be destroyed by the vehicle's superior weaponry. The machine lacks jump jets, but is fairly fast for a larger machine, topping out at 64 kph.
Weaponry centers around a Gauss Rifle mounted in the left arm and supplemented by a pair of PPC's on either side of the torso. A boxy SRM-6 rack sits atop the right shlder, and a pair of medium blaster cannons are mounted in the right arm. Two more blaster cannons are mounted in the shoulder blades of the walker to protect its back. Finally, two rotary blaster cannons are carried to deal with infantry, one in the head and one in the center torso.
Armor consists a full meter of Class B ablative, allowing the walker to take a few dozen volleys from vehicle-class turbolasers or even several shots from a bombarding warship.
