The BlasTech Industries DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol is a powerful sidearm that can cause considerable damage for its compact size. It sees use by various governments, organizations, and individuals for this purpose.

The DL-44 sports a charge function that can increase the level of armor piercing power in each shot. It also features a motion sensitive scope and efficient galven circuitry that allows the pistol to deal more damage without undue energy drain. As a side effect, however, it has a somewhat slow rate of fire and still uses about 4 times as much energy as a standard blaster (the galven circuitry prevents this from being higher), exhausting its power pack in about 25 shots.
