The Disciples of the Ancients was a secretive sect of darksiders that followed a cause that was unknown, at best, to all they encountered. Founded by the mysterious individual known only as Mephidrius, the Disciples wrought chaos and havoc among the worlds and territories they came across. According to speculative accounts by Mephidrius's followers, the Disciples' mission was to spread terror and destruction across the galaxy in anticipation of something greater to occur.
History[]
The Disciples began as a mere small army under the command of Mephidrius. His two apprentices, Fidonis Iuguolo and Lord Morbus, were in direct control of his forces, and were quickly given the titles of the Harbingers of Doom and Despair, appropriately. Mephidrius consistently called these two darksiders his Heralds, and they carried out his command with unquestioned loyalty.
Mephidrius knew he would have to grow his forces, should the Disciples survive and their purpose be filled. As a result, he reached out to find others with like-minded goals. Those that resisted found themselves to become "educated" by the Dreadlord's powers over the dark side of the Force, and became slaves to his will. The individuals that willingly took a knee to his command were the fortunate ones, and were spared this fate. Soon, Mephidrius found himself with a force to be reckoned with. But it was not enough for the Dreadlord. He wanted more. His thirst for power drove him to continue his conquest.

Dreadlord[]
The Dreadlord was the official title bestowed upon the leader of the Disciples. Mephidrius, the founder, claimed this title upon the creation of the cult.
The Heralds[]
The Heralds were Mephidrius's personal servants. They carried out the Dreadlord's orders without question, maintaining absolute loyalty to their master.

Warlords[]
Warlords of the Disciples were well-trained dark Jedi whom performed various overt operations. Leading Mephidrius's armies in direct combat, these dark Jedi fought with impressive skill.
Disciples[]
The Disciples were the more expendible servants to Mephidrius. However, their mission was no less important than the others. Performing covert operations, Disciples were responsible for ripening up worlds and other populations for the eventual strike of the cult's warlords and, ultimately, Mephidrius himself.
Acolytes[]
Acolytes were worshippers of the Disciples of the Ancients. Moreover, they were mere slaves to Mephidrius and his will. These individuals were the most expendible of all the members, and were often sent to perform menial tasks that were deemed inappropriate for any other member of the cult.
