The GRF-5M Griffin was designed as a mobile standoff-weapon platform. The PPC delivers devastating damage at distance, supplemented by the large rack of LRM's, while the walker's good speed and jump capability allows the machine to move quickly to support units in trouble. A medium blaster cannon in the left wrist acts as backup.
Armor consists of 0.5 meters of Class B ablative, enough to take several blasts from vehicle-class turbolaser cannons or a few dozen volleys from an AT-AT.
