Ida II was the main planet in the system. It held 4 major cities - Idari, Idril, Anduel and Barun - and thousands of smaller towns. The planet housed the Royal Idarian Palace, the Idarian Congress and the Idril Military Academy, which trained excellent officers.
Ida II was home to the Idarian Commonwealth, a congregation of citystates subject to the Idarian Queen. The Commonwealth was subject to the Confederacy, but largely governed itself.
The planet housed a population of little over 900 million citizens, most of which was human. The population worked in all trades of life.
The planet was ruled by Planetary Governor Arnvara Galanodel, who also held the position as Queen of the Commonwealth. She was loved by the people.
History[]
Ida II was settled sometime before 600 BBY. The Idarians quickly colonized the other habitable planet in the system, Ida III, but otherwise stayed in their system.
From 300 BBY, the Durgasi Empire began extorting the Idarians, demanding ever-increasing amounts of raw materials and eventually slaves. The Idarians was unable to fight back, and so conceded to the demands.
That changed in 11 ABY, when a fleet under the command of First Admiral Eshtemoh Cosimo arrived in the system. After Cosimo defeated a Durgasi fleet come to extort the system, the Idarians joined the Confederacy.
The planet was attacked in 14 ABY by the Durgasi. This time the aliens defeated the defence fleet and landed ground troops. Only the timely intervention of First Admiral Daira Tel'Anh and her Second Expeditionary Fleet saved the planet.
