What was eventually to be known as Wyn Enterprises was intially founded as Karde Enterprises by an ex-Imperial officer named Talon Karde in 0 BBY. Karde built the company up with incredible speed. It didn't take long before KE was a leading producer of ships and droids throughout the galaxy. Mr. Karde himself was known to live a rather lavish, yet unruly lifestyle.
Karde Enterprises was a staunch supporter of the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic. Talon Karde was often involved in many plots against the Galactic Empire, a habit he had which put his company at risk numerous times. KE was also the exclusive provider for the Red Star Alliance upon its founding by none other than Talon Karde. However, after an incident involving the Galactic Empire, the RSA dropped in power, as did Karde Enterprises.
Mr. Karde then vanished for many years, leaving the business to his second in command, Jade Mara. After several years of no contact with Talon she sold the company off in pieces, putting half of the earnings away for him. When he finally did return to the galaxy he took his credits and rebuilt Karde Enterprises, using the newly purchased Jade City on Bespin as his headquarters. Eventually, Karde yet again felt the pull to accomplish things elsewhere. He sold Jade City but kept the rest of the company running. When he returned again he built a large casino and resort on Corellia, his home world. Part of the massive construct was his personal living quarters.
