Kyla Vizsla is a Mandalorian of the Vizsla clan. She is a formidable warrior and commander of the Mandalorians joining their cause early on. Kyla quickly became disillusioned with the current state of Mandalorian affairs and began attending meetings of political dissidents where she eventually became a popular speaker. In 16 ABY the charismatic young woman joined the budding Death Watch movement and within months rose to its leader as Overlord.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Kyla was born on Concordia the daughter of a poor farmer. Her father was a traditional Mandalorian who doted on his daughter telling her stories of ancient glories. She grew up learning to fight and defend herself. She could hold and fire a blaster at the early age of five and father taught her the histories of the Mandalorian people. Her education included all the basics, farming, and the great battles. She absorbed the tactics and dreamed of conquest.

At age fifteen she went with her father on a patrol and killed several pirates in her first taste of battle. From this point in her life on she dreamed of a time when the Mandalorian people could reclaim their rightful place in the galaxy. For a time she was content seeing the growth of the Mandalorian Protectors, however she soon came to see them for what it rightly was, a weak organization whose goals ran counter to the conquers blood in her peoples vein.

Forming the Watch[]

Kyla fought in the Xen'Chi War, along side her father who she watched die, earning glory in several skirmishes. Having fought in the war as a soldier she heard many stories of discontent among the rank and file. From these men and women she began to gather allies who saw the glory of the Mandalorian people as conquerors same as her. They attended meetings in secret and eventually came to a singular agreement. The Mandalorian people needed a new leader, someone with strength and a heart for conquest and war. To this end Kyla organized the various dissenting groups and with her families history in mind created a renewed Death Watch, to be the true Mandalorians that her people deserve.
