The MAL-1R Mauler has the capability to rapidly pummel an opponent into scrap. Its heavy laser cannons provide the main punch, while the LRM's give it support capability. The rapid-fire autocannon quad array mounted in the torso allows it to deal with both light airborne and ground threats rapidly, as the hail of shells quickly reduces even shielded enemies into smoking ruins.
Armor consists a full meter of Class B ablative, allowing the walker to take a few dozen volleys from vehicle-class turbolasers or even several shots from a bombarding warship.
