The MON-67 Mongoose Light BW is an exceptional scout machine produced by MMA. It was purposely designed for reconnaissance deep behind enemy lines, cut off from regular resupply. Thus, no ammo-reliant weapons are carried, only energy weapons. It has exceptionally high ground speed at 130 kph, almost as high as some hovercraft, and certainly faster than a AT-ST. Furthermore, the sensors on board the Mongoose are some of the most advanced yet developed, allowing the walker to ferret out hidden enemy units at long range with a low probability of detection. Armament consists of three medium blaster cannon, a medium pulse laser, and a head-mounted light repeating blaster.
The walker is protected by 0.25 meters of Class B ablative armor, enough to weather several volleys from an AT-AT-class laser cannon.
