As its designation indicates, the Praetorian Defense Fighter is meant for system defense and, as such, does not mount a hyperdrive. It is the only MMA fightercraft not to do so. Befitting a patrol craft, two ion cannons are mounted to disable the occasional fleeing smuggler, as well as two laser cannon and a concussion missile launcher with a magazine of four.
As common amongst MMA craft, equipment hardpoints dot the lower surface of the craft, enabling the fighter to carry additional weaponry or gear, from electronics packages to bombs to extra proton torpedoes or concussion missiles or even external thruster units to increase maneuverability or speed. Typically, though, mounting such external ordinance will lower the performance profile until launched or jettisoned.
