The SYU-2B Sha Yu's primary focus is not close-range comabt. Instead, it is designed to use it's high speed and varied weaponry to make slashing attacks against an enemy, slowly wearing them down. Indeed, the name itself, taken from an ancient language, means 'shark'. Weaponry includes two heavy blaster cannons, one in each arm, and two medium pulse lasers, one in each side of the torso. The walker also mounts and advanced ECM package and TAG gear to spot for artillery units.
Armor consists of 0.5 meters of Class B ablative, enough to take several blasts from vehicle-class turbolaser cannons or a few dozen volleys from an AT-AT.
