Template talk:Quote
From Star Wars: Exodus Visual Encyclopedia
Does anyone else see that quote fields with multiple people talking aren't showing up properly on our wiki? Look here and here for examples. I'm not sure what is going on, they seem to be fine on Wook and Fanon. --Halomek 22:38, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just tried it with Cadden Blackthorne's article, as I wanted to add some info to it, but that info required a conversational quote to be used, rather than a monologue. Needless to say, it didn't want to let me do it. It's not just with the new ones, either... one of Cadden's quotes (a conversational one) is messed up. I take it you compared Wook's and ours back-to-back, given the template's history? --Cadden Blackthorne 22:49, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yep, I tried putting Wook's quote code into ours, but it didn't solve the problem. --Halomek 22:51, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Noticed it right after I finished editing Akain's article. --Mir 00:06, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I've posted the issue on Angela's talk page. Don't know how useful it will be, but at the very least she could get someone to look at what's going on. It's just sitting and waiting now. --Cadden Blackthorne 18:27, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I don't know if Angela got to it, or if the problem fixed itself, but it appears to be working again. --Halomek 18:45, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, shortly after I posted that question to her, I decided to check something out. When I edited a segment with a multi-paragraph quote and hit "Preview", it came up right. When I cancelled, it went back to its funky self. Evidenced by Cadden's "The Dark Side" segment, it works now, so if anything unusual pops up, then just editing and saving should do the trick.
On a side note, am I the only one who's noticed that the "shortcuts bar" on top of the edit text box is gone now? --Cadden Blackthorne 19:03, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Until you mentioned it, no. I don't use the shortcut, and its actually a nuisance for me, so I'm happy. Incidentally, I figured out what was causing the minor edit proble for me.--Mir 20:47, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
