The Triumph Light Freighter is an effort to combine a family-friendly vessel with the functionality of a cargo vessel. As such, the ship has several features not normally found on a freighter.
For starters, there is no large common bunk-room as is normally found for freighter crews. Instead, there are 8 small cabins and two larger rooms suitable for small children who share a room. The kitchen/dining area features a more elaborate decor and larger food prepration area, along with a small entertainment center. Access panels are coded shut to prevent a curious child tampering. As many corners as possible are either rounded or padded to prevent injury. The ship's computer contains several children's games. As an added bonus, the ship features the innovative harjel repair system used on MMA capital ships. While designers felt that it was unlikely the ship would end up in a situation requiring its use, the extra safety afforded by the feature provides comfort to the ship's owners, particularly those with families. All in all, the ship is completely capable of carrying not only a cargo, but providing a home.
Of course, the vessel also has all the abilities of a freighter, featuring a fairly large cargo capacity, good speed, and above average protection and firepower. All three turrets can be autotargeted, although accuracy suffers.
