"The Turques were the most numerous and widespread of Durden's races. Paradoxically, they were the most compatible for partnerships and the least in need of guidance."
— Relic

The Turques are a small reptavian race from the planet Durden. They are humanoid, but also have a pair of wings on their back that enable them to fly. Turques are about half the size of an average human.

On Durden, Turques were known to build modest sized cities and developed technology that was on par with medieval-level advancement.

The Turques worshiped the aliens known as Sages and were their most loyal followers. Many Sages preferred Turques to be their chosen avatars. When another race known as the Venix brought war against the Sages, the Turques defended the Sages until Mount Durden was destroyed.

The fate of the surviving Turques on Durden is unknown, but it is believed they fled their cities and remain in hiding from the Venix and the Prator.

Juoian Turques[]

Turque 002

A Juoian Turque.

Two Turques, avatars to the Sages known as Relic and Nasha, were brought from Durden to Juoi and have slowly started to build a small colony on the continent of Pek Kular. The Juoian government used genetic manipulation to help create a sustainable population for the Turques. As a result of this manipulation, Juoian Turques tend to be a bit larger than those found on Durden, but only have gray skin instead of some of the more vibrant colors of their forbearers.

Living on a world connected to the galactic community also means that the Turques on Juoi are much more technologically advanced than those on Durden. Their settlement has all of the modern comforts common to galactic civilization.

They still retain a close relationship with the Sages on Juoi and are usually the default choice when a Sage wants to form a partnership.
