The VLK-QD Valkyrie Light BW is something of an oddity; a light machine designed for a support role. As such, it is slower than the other light machines. However, this does not cause as many problems as one might think, due to the fact that the walker is meant to stay back from the actual fighting.
To accomplish this, the walker carries a 10-tube rack of the new Long Range Missiles, giving the machine a long-range punch normally not found on lighter machines. An Artemis IV Fire Control System increases the LRM's accuracy. A medium pulse laser is the backup weapon. The walker is protected by 0.25 meters of Class B ablative armor, enough to weather several volleys from an AT-AT-class laser cannon.
