The WLF-2M Wolfhound Light BW was designed for combat instead of the usual light walker roles of scouting or recon. Designed to operate in groups, the walkers would use their speed and maneuverability to hound a larger machine until it is destroyed. Since designers anticipated heavy combat with opponents that would normally outgun a single light walker, they gave the Wolfhound more protection than normal, 0.5 meters of Class B ablative, enough to take several blasts from vehicle-class turbolaser cannons or a few dozen volleys from an AT-AT.
Weaponry consists of a heavy laser cannon and four medium blaster cannons. One of the blaster cannons is mounted in the walker's back, protecting it from rear attacks. Despite its combat-oriented design, the walker does carry an advanced sensor suite and ECM package.
